Media, Marketing & Communications Training Courses (January to July 2019)
We are currently running a 8-week media, marketing & communications course, its a one day a week course and will be covering topics in the following order:
Introduction to media, audiences, and the power of marketing & communications
Introduction to Photography, and images
Introduction to Design, branding and marketing promotion (flyers, posters etc)
Introduction to Audio production & capturing peoples stories
Introduction to Video, Vlogging, and Social Media Video & YouTube
Introduction to website, blogging, and Content Management Systems (CMS)
Introduction to Social Media for Marketing & Communications
Introduction to Journalism and Public & Media Relations
All to support you in marketing and communications, for yourself, your own business, within a job or even as a volunteer within a community organisation.
Course 1 – Now Complete – Bedford (Fridays)
Course 2 – Now Compete – Kempston (Wednesdays)
Course 3 – Already started – Bedford (Thursdays)
The course is completely free if you meet the funding eligibility:
Aged 19 or older
UK citizen or a citizen (have been ordinarily resident for at least the previous three years on the first day of learning) of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA)
Employment status;
be unemployed and in receipt of:
Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) or
Employment Support Allowance (ESA) and in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG) or
Universal Credit because they are unemployed or
be economically inactive (without employment) and in receipt of other state benefits not listed above or
is in employment but earning less than £15,736.50 annual gross salary.
Also if you meet the above criteria we may be able to cover some minimal travel expenses.
If you don’t meet those criteria but are still interested in attending then please do contact us, as you can still attend but there is a charge of £40 per session to cover our costs.
You will have to attend a short 30-minute induction meeting prior to the course starting, to go over what’s being covered, complete registration paperwork and provide proof of identity and course eligibility (as above).
